Itinerary

Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, a Gorkha Himalayan Trek Team airport representative will welcome you and transfer you to your hotel. The representative also will provide a close program overview. The remainder of the day is free for relaxation. Overnight reside the hotel.

On your second day in Kathmandu, indurate the trek and explore UNESCO World Heritage sites like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Temple (Monkey Temple), Boudhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple. Each site offers unique cultural and spiritual insights. The rest of the day is free for relaxation at your hotel. Overnight lodge in the hotel with breakfast and lunch included.

Depart from Kathmandu for a scenic 7-9 hour drive to Pokhara, enjoying views of terraced fields, rocky gorges, and rural Nepali life. Called a natural paradise, Pokhara offers breathtaking vistas of Himalayan peaks like Manaslu, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and therefore the Annapurna range. During your stay, relax at a lakeside hotel and revel in a serene boat ride on Phewa Lake, surrounded by stunning Himalayan panoramas and plush hills.

After a roughly 1.5-hour drive to Nayapul from Pokhara, covering 42 kilometers, we start our trek to Tikhedhunga. It’s a delicate introduction to trekking, passing through Lumle village and reaching Birethanti, an energetic town at the Burundi and Modi Rivers’ confluence, stuffed with tea houses and shops. The trail takes us through bamboo forests and by a surprising waterfall, then up the valley to Hille at 1,495 meters. a short ascent from Hille brings us to Tikhedhunga. Overnight lodge in a guesthouse, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner provided.

Today starts with a hearty breakfast in Tikhedhunga before you commence the long trek to Ghorepani. Crossing a bridge, you'll face steep stone stairs to Ulleri, a picturesque Magar village. After a challenging climb, rest briefly at the crest of Ulleri Hill. Continue through lush pastures to Nangethanti for lunch, then follow the trail to the normal village of Ghorepani, surrounded by stunning mountain views. Overnight at a guesthouse with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

Today’s journey begins with an early hike to Poon Hill to witness a shocking sunrise over the Annapurna massif. From here, you'll see peaks like Annapurna I, Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Machapuchare, Nilgiri Himal, Hiunchuli, and Tukuche Peak. After enjoying the breathtaking views, return to the guesthouse for a warm breakfast and begin your hike to Tadapani. The route meanders along the ridgeline and through a gorgeous rhododendron forest. Overnight at a guesthouse, with breakfast, lunch, and dinner included.

From Tadapani, descend through lush forests to Ghandruk, home to the Gurung people, one of Nepal's ethnic groups. In Ghandruk, explore the culture and traditional architecture before continuing downhill to Kimche. From there, you'll fight back to Pokhara for a few well-deserved rest. Overnight reside in a hotel in Pokhara, with breakfast and lunch included.

Today, we'll repulse to Kathmandu. Enjoy the scenic views from the left side of the vehicle, featuring river gorges, mountains, rustic settlements, and terraced landscapes. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you may be transferred to your hotel where you'll relax and unwind. Overnight occupy the hotel with breakfast included.

Day 9 :
Departure

After a memorable Ghorepani Poon Hill Trek full of stunning views and cultural experiences, it is time to mention goodbye to Nepal. Our airport representative will assist you along with your transfer to the airport, ensuring you have everything you would like for your departure.
