Itinerary

Upon landing, a Gorkha Himalayan Team (GHT) representative will greet you at the gate. You'll then be escorted to your hotel, where you'll receive an in-depth briefing about your trip and itinerary. All arrangements are made promptly to make sure a smooth start to your adventure.

Your day kicks off with an exhilarating flight to Lukla in the morning, departing from either Kathmandu Domestic Airport or Manthali Airport, Ramechhap, betting on the season. Upon arrival, you'll trek to Phakding, where you'll spend the night, able to start your trekking adventure within the stunning Himalayan landscape.

Following the Dudh Kosi, we ascend through Himalayan pine and Deodar cedar forests to achieve Namche Bazaar, a historic mercantile establishment where Nepalese and Tibetan traders swap salt, dried meat, and textiles. Spending two days here allows for acclimatization, exploration of local markets, and enjoying views of Everest and neighboring peaks, marking the beginning of our adventure.

Today is devoted to acclimatization. We'll hike to Syangboche Airport (3700m), believed to be the world's highest, then ascend to Everest View Hotel for stunning panoramas of Everest, Lhotse, Amadablam, Tawache, and more. on the way back, we'll visit the Sherpa Culture Museum and Everest Photo Gallery, enriching our understanding of the region's heritage and capturing memorable moments.

Following a flat, easy trail with views of Mt. Everest, we descend into the Dudh Kosi Valley at Pungki Thanka, then ascend the valley's right flank to Tengboche Monastery (3860m). This spiritual hub of the Khumbu offers awe-inspiring vistas of Mt. Amadablam and, on clear days, of Everest and its neighboring peaks, making the climb immensely rewarding.

Descending through a shocking forest and crossing the tranquil Imja Khola, you'll pass the picturesque village of Pangboche at 3,900 meters. enjoy panoramic views of Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Lhotse, and other majestic peaks as you maintain altitude. the trail winds through lush pastures to Dingboche, called the 'summer valley,' offering a mix of natural beauty and cultural richness.

On your second acclimatization day, you'll trek for six hours to Nangkartshang Peak at 5100m, above Dingboche. Climbing high and sleeping low is that the strategy, with a challenging ascent of up to five hours. Enjoy breathtaking views of surrounding peaks including Ama Dablam and possibly Makalu, before descending back to Dingboche for a well-deserved rest.

Trek along a good valley floor to Dughla, passing the Trekkers Aid Post at Pheriche (4240 m), supported by the Himalayan Rescue Association. Ascend the valley, gaining altitude, before emerging from it to descend to the yak pastures of Lobuche. Here, trekkers can receive treatment and consultation from western volunteer doctors, ensuring safety and support along the journey.

After a quick ascent through meadows, glimpse the Khumbu Glacier below. Ahead lies Kalapattar, offering prime views of the south face and surrounding peaks. Trekking for a pair of hours results in Gorekshep, then on to Everest Base Camp. Though not steep, the terrain's undulations, combined with altitude, is fatiguing. Yet, the rewarding journey unveils stunning vistas of the Khumbu Glacier and icefall.

Begin your day with an early hike to Kalapattar (5,545m/18,188ft), boasting unmatched views of Mt. Everest and also the Himalayas. Afterward, return to Gorekshep for breakfast before descending to Dzongla. Traverse stunning landscapes and immerse yourself in cultural richness as you continue your trek, cherishing every moment of this extraordinary adventure.

Embark on an invigorating climb through rugged terrain, conquering the majestic Chola Pass. Descend towards Thangna, relishing within the beautiful landscapes and sense of accomplishment. Although slow and challenging, the journey offers remarkable vistas. Conclude the day's adventure with an overnight stay in Thangna, allowing time to reflect on the day's achievements amidst the tranquil Himalayan beauty.

Embark on the trek to Gokyo Lake, crossing the expansive Ngozumpa Glacier, the Himalayas' largest at over 36 kilometers long. Arriving at Gokyo village beside the third lake, marvel at the majestic Cho-Oyu Mountain's backdrop, offering a wide ranging panorama. After lunch, explore the serene great thing about Lake Dudh Pokhari, enriching this remarkable adventure with another layer of wonder.

Embark on an early morning hike to Gokyo Ri, a challenging climb taking 3 to 4 hours. At the summit, enjoy unparalleled views of Gokyo Valley, Gokyo Lake, and also the surrounding Himalayan peaks, including Everest. Descend to Gokyo, then trek to Dole after breakfast, continuing your journey through the awe-inspiring landscapes of the Himalayas.

From Dole, descend to Phorste Tenga, then ascend a steep hill to Mong-la Danda. Afterward, descend to Kyangjuma, offering a more accessible trail to Namche. Arriving in Namche Bazaar appears like a warm embrace after nights within the wilderness, blending civilization's comforts with the Himalayas' rugged beauty. it is a refreshing experience, marked by a way of accomplishment and welcoming smiles.

After trekking from Namche along the Dudh Kosi River, we attain Lukla's mountain airstrip, marking the beginning of our journey back to Kathmandu. Spending a final night in Lukla, we cherish the last moments of our adventure. the following day, bidding heartfelt goodbyes to our guide and Sherpa team, we express gratitude for his or her invaluable support and companionship, reflecting on unforgettable experiences shared.

We'll either fly to Ramechhap and so take a four-hour drive to Kathmandu or choose a right away flight back to Kathmandu, betting on our travel schedule. Regardless, we'll journey back to Kathmandu, concluding our remarkable trek with memories to last a lifetime

About 3 hours before the scheduled flight, a representative from Gorkha Himalayan Trek will escort you to the airport, ensuring a timely departure. This attentive service ensures a seamless transition from your trekking adventure to your journey home, leaving you with fond memories of it slow within the Himalayas.
