As you follow the path above the Dudh Koshi River, you'll arrive at Phungi Thanga village. From there, you'll cross over the Imja Khola, a tributary of the Dudh Koshi, and face a more challenging uphill climb to Tengboche.
Tengboche itself is nestled under a crescent-shaped ridge and is home to the largest Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu region, the Tengboche Monastery. This area not only offers spiritual solace but also stunning vistas that serve as a backdrop to this serene and culturally rich village.
